    Plasmodium berghei transfection with plasmodium vivax DHFR-TS mutant genes

    The pbdhfr-ts native gene have been replaced with pvdhfr-ts mutant genes by using transfection technology. The transgenic P. berghei parasites have been used as in vivo model for antifolate screening against PvDHFR-TS. New drugs will be designed against this mutant enzyme from P. vivax.
