    Biomaterial development for cartilage regeneration and controlled drug delivery.

    Current research projects involve the development of injectable in situ crosslinking biodegradable hydrogels for the regeneration of cartilage and controlled release of anti-fungal agents and anesthetics such as amphotericin B and bupivicaine respectively. I also am examining the biocompatibility of unfunctionalised and surface modified nano- and micro- particulate mesoporous silica for applications in biotechnology such as protein drug delivery and cell tracking.
