  • Research:
The role of the perirhinal and postrhinal cortices in learning and memory.

My research interests focus on the neurobiology of learning and memory. In particular, my research examines the role of two parahippocampal structures, the perirhinal and postrhinal cortices, in episodic and emotional memory. To gain insight into the function of these regions, I use a multi-level approach. Principally, I apply neurophysiological and lesion techniques in combination with operant conditioning and Pavlovian conditioning paradigms to identify the contribution of these areas to object, context and spatial processing.
