    Autophagy of peroxisomes (Pexophagy)

    My researches involves, but is not limited to, identifying and characterizing novel genes involved in pexophagy. I combine biochemical assays and fluorescence microscopy to understand the mechanism of this process. Autophagy in general has far reaching implications in starvation induced survival, cell death, some types of cancer and intracellular pathogen infections.
