    Applying tissue engineering principles to induce regeneration of the spinal cord.

    I am using an adult rat model of spinal cord injury (removal of 5 mm segment of tissue) to investigate the use of collagen based implants combined with stem cells and growth factors to induce regeneration of the spinal cord and provide return of neurological function.
