This paper investigates the effects of uninsurable income risk and liquidity constraints on optimal consumption and portfolio selection decision of an investor in a discrete-time setting. It focuses on optimal consumption and portfolio selection decisions made by economic agents who have constant relative risk aversion (CRRA) to maximize the utility consumption.
