My overall goal is to study the structure-function relationships and physiological roles of calcium channels in health and disease, to devise noninvasive optical tools to interrogate Ca2+ signaling, and to develop potential therapeutic strategies for endocrine, immune and cardiovascular diseases associated with dysregulated calcium signaling.
