  • Research:
My research specialization is in molecular interactions between viral and cellular proteins and how these interactions can be exploited for the development of antiviral drugs.

Dissertation topics addressed the regulatory role of the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway in Hepatitis B Virus replication; specifically identification of ubiquitin interacting motifs within the viral structural protein that direct intracellular trafficking, establishing the viability of proteasome inhibitors to treat HBV infection, and design of peptide based inhibitors to disrupt HBV replication.
