My research examines cultural features of children's learning and development through their participation in family and community work. I'm particularly interested in children's agency and initiative in these activities, and focus on Indigenous and Indigenous-heritage communities of Mexico and the Americas. My research also considers how policy and intervention intersect with the opportunities children have to participate in work activities.
