    C. elegans as a model system to understand environmental influence on germline health

Environmental exposure is a major contributor to the etiology of diseases such as cancer and infertility. However, the dissection of the affected molecular pathways has been particularly challenging. We propose to use the worm C. elegans to investigate the genetic mechanisms of germline health disruption following environmental exposure.
