Dyneins are minus-end directed mictrobule motors that function in a wide range of vital cellular processes including ciliary/flagellar motility. Using the model organism Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, our lab focuses the assembly and regulation of flagellar dynein activity, using the inner arm dynein isoform called I1-dynein (f-dynein) as a model.
