  • Research:

My research focuses on understanding how landscape structure affects ecosystem services in urban systems. I use an interdisciplinary systems approach that integrates aspects of landscape and urban ecology, geospatial sciences, soil ecology and chemistry, public health, and environmental justice. Much of my past and current research has been conducted as part of the Baltimore Ecosystem Study, an NSF-funded long term ecological research project with which I have been actively involved since 2001.
