  • Research:
My personal research pursuits involve principally investigating catatonia and co-investigating neurotransmitter trafficking and neurosurgical outcomes.

I'm most interested in investigating the efficacy of utilizing DBS and its potential neuroanatomical targets in treating psychiatric and movement disorders. I'm also currently (1) assisting Galli lab in an investigation of the effects of global and localized (substantia nigra) dysfunctional Akt phosphorylation in Rictor knockout mice, and (2) helping Neimat lab assess MRI as a predictor of outcome in microvascular decompression of trigeminal neuralgia.

My professional research pursuits involve coordinating population-based and clinical cardiovascular research.
