    Biological control of Salvinia minima using Cyrtobagous salviniae in southern Louisiana and other impacts on the dynamics of the system.

    I am working with the introduction and establishment of the Salvinia Weevil (Cyrtobagous Salviniae) into Louisiana to help control the rapid spread of Common Salvinia (Salvinia minima). I am looking at the effects the weevil has on salvinia in the landscape, and the evaluating the relationships between Red Imported Fire Ants (Solenopsis invicta) and other predators with C. salviniae.
