  • Research:
I study the role quorum sensing plays in regulating gene expression in pathogenic Burkholderias.

By using gene expression technologies such as microarrays and RNA seq, we're examining the quorum sensing regulon in B. pseudomallei, B. mallei and B. thailandensis. Our work in this area had led us to begin analyzing compounds for use in quorum sensing inhibition as a possible therapeutic response to Burkholderia infections.
