    Engineering Peptide-Lipoplexes and Protein Polymers for Gene Delivery

    - Wrote and was awarded an NIH research grant to develop novel peptide-lipoplex gene delivery vectors for enhanced gene delivery by bolus delivery and substrate-mediated delivery from biomaterials
    - Developed recombinant protein polymer surface coatings for improved gene delivery from cell-adhesive surfaces
    - Determined extracellular and intracellular mechanisms of transfection enhancement
    - Introduced new biological techniques to the laboratory, including nuclear isolation and subcellular quantification of exogenous DNA with radiolabeled and fluorescently-labeled DNA
