  • Research:
I am a computational biologist, interested in understanding how proteins adapt to each other, and to the functions they evolve over time.

In a previous incarnation, I worked on microbial secondary metabolites and their biosynthesis. The aim was to find ways of deciphering structure (and function) from sequence data, applying it to design rational/novel antibiotics.
Now I work on plant stress responses, and the silent (volatile) language evolved by plants to communicate with each other. I'm still not entirely into the concept of "Plant Neurobiology", but it intrigues me immesely.
