    Exploring the mechanism of site specific serine recombinases using x-ray crystallography.

    I am attempting to crystallize a site specific serine recombinase involved in inversion of the phage mu DNA chromosome called Gin. Through the use of mutants and DNAs, I am trying to obtain more detailed insight into the mechanism of catalysis and strand exchange.
