    I am currently working on computer simulated outdoor lighting scenarios with the intent of minimizing the environmental impact (e.g. light pollution, towerkills) of street lighting.

    I am working as a photonics researcher at HarzOptics, a research institute associated with Harz University in Wernigerode, Germany. HarzOptics provides optical measurement and development services and also offers a number of products, such as the OPTOTEACH lab teaching system. Currently, we are working on a highly energy-efficient and eco-friendly LED street light. Aside from my work at HarzOptics, I also teach several classes at Harz University and am studying for my M.Sc. degree in Environmental Sciences at Hagen University.
