    Diyarbakir Small Streams Archaeological Survey

This project consists of an archaeological and environmental survey within the Upper Tigris Drainage region of southeast Turkey. The focus of the project is on climatic and environmental change and past human responses to it. In particular, we are interested in testing certain assumptions that have been made about connections between social and political crises, cultural changes and climatic changes throughout antiquity generally and during the end of the 3rd millennium and beginning of the 2nd millennium B.C.
