  • Research:
Using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model system to study DNA metabolism, gene regulation and checkpoint responses.

My research laboratory studies a variety of issues related to DNA metabolism, gene regulation and checkpoint responses in the model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Baker's yeast). Chromosome fragility, responses to reactive oxygen species, and histone modifications are all examined on a regular basis in my laboratory. We also do collaborative yeast two-hybrid screens for colleagues at other research institutions.
