  • Research:
In vivo imaging of the role of integrins in T cell- Dendritic cell interactions and differentiation pathways of CD8 T cells following activation.

The initiation of an adaptive immune response is strictly dependent on the cell-cell contact between T cells and Dendritic cells (DCs) in lymphoid organs. Our main goal is to unveil the mechanisms that regulate the interaction time and the nature of signals that are exchanged between these cell types. For this we are applying two photon intravital microscopy to study the regulators of cell-cell interaction and to define the signaling cascades that are triggered during the time of contact between T and DCs.
