During my PhD. I have worked on the synthesis of chiral derivatives of iridium compounds and studied their reaction with dihydrogen, and as catalysts for electrophilic reactions. Currently I am working with iron ligand bifunctional hydrogenation catalysts containing both a hydridic proton and an acidic proton. I am studying the mechanism of hydrogenation of benzaldehyde with this complex and also I am working on the synthesis of chiral versions of this complex.
