Exploring noble resonance for development of antifilarial drug with synthetic and / or herbal in vitro against Brugia malayi.

Filariasis is one of the infectious tropical diseases which is endemic in nature. It is caused by thread-like filarial nematode worms. There are 9 known filarial nematodes which use humans as the definitive host. These are divided into 3 groups according to the location within the body that they occupy:

    1. Lymphatic Filariasis

    2. Subcutaneous Filariasis

    3. Serous Cavity Filariasis.
Currently used DEC (Diethylcarbamazinecitrate) is though most

popular worldwide as a chemical Drug. Although there have been large number of studies on the mechanism of action of DEC on microfilariae, the exact mechanism is still not clear. It has its own limitation of causing

side effects and also have some toxic effect in overdose
Exploring noble resonance for development of antifilarial drug with synthetic and / or herbal in vitro against Brugia malayi.

Resulting all combinations herbal+DHFR inhibitors given good results
